BlackBerry Messenger | BBM For IOS | BBM For Android | Review

BlackBerry has made it official about their plan to make BBM available for the first time to iOS and Android users this summer, (subject to approval by Google Play and the Apple App Store, as applicable). This means that, once available, you can welcome your friends and family using these other mobile platforms to connect over BBM and share in the Team BlackBerry love.

CEO Thorsten Heins claims the time is just right “to bring BBM to a greater audience,” but investors are probably feeling a little uneasy as evidenced by a 6% drop in BlackBerry’s share price, the biggest decline in a month after the renewed optimism brought by BB10.

The messaging service currently has more than 60 million users, who send and receive some 10 billion messages every day. Opening up to other platforms will certainly help that figure grow, but that’s still some ways off from overtaking current mobile messaging leader WhatsApp, which claims 200 million active users.

BBM FOR IOS AND ANDROID FEATURES : ↓

  • The immediacy of BBM chats.
  • Multi-person chats.
  • Voice note sharing.
  • BlackBerry Groups, where BBM users are able to set up groups of up to 30 people and share calendar, photos, files and more.

RIM 16GB BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet | Review

Like most companies, Canadian based Research In Motion saw the tablet market as a new opportunity for growth, launching a series of PlayBook tablets.

No Netflix For BlackBerry Playbook Tablet

Research In Motion has enough challenges ahead of itself right now as it struggles to regain market share that it has lost to the various mobile operating systems including the front runners, Google’s Android OS and Apple’s iOS.

BlackBerry 10 OS images surface, UI looks like Android, iOS and WP7 mixed up

I have just gone through CrackBerry’s exclusive report about Blackberry 10 OS images leak and my first impression was clearly stated on the aforementioned title of this article.

BlackBerry London leaks again, with brand new look

London calling -- the long-rumoured BlackBerry London has leaked again, and this time it's sporting a svelte new look.
CrackBerry has acquired what look to be press shots of the upcoming so-called 'superphone', which is going to be the first mobile to arrive running BlackBerry 10 -- the new version of the operating system RIM hopes will put the ailing company back on top.

We got our first peek at the London way back in November, though then it was modelling an angular, chrome finish. The phone above, meanwhile, looks much more like an iPhone, or a Samsung Galaxy S2.
By the looks of things there are no physical buttons along the bottom of the London, and while the specs are all unconfirmed, we're anticipating an 8-megapixel camera and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor.
It's no secret BlackBerry manufacturer RIM is on the ropes. The company has lost shedloads of money thanks to poor sales of its PlayBook tablet, while several new mobiles for this year have reportedly been cancelled.

The London is still on course, it would seem, but we could have a wait on our hands, as now ex-CEO Mike Lazaridis confirmed in December that phones running BlackBerry 10 have been delayed. As a consequence we likely won't see the London until late this year.
Will the BlackBerry London be enough to turn things around for RIM? We've compiled a list of five things the company's new chief needs to crack on with.
Would you hold out for the London? Or would you rather cosy up to a different smart phone? Tell us in the comments, or on our Facebook wall.

New Blackberry Tablet: Playbook 2 coming this year

Blackberry is planning to release a new table – Blackberry Playbook 2 this year. The predecessor of this new upcoming tablet i.e. the original Playbook has however not made any contribution in changing the way we look at gadgets. And it has been an epic failure.

There are also news that Blackberry will also release 10 new devices this year. With a fierce battle of smart phones in the market, Playbook 2 must have the features above today’s available tablets if Blackberry doesn’t want it to be an uncommon tablet.

We might come to an interface with a new Blackberry OS in Playbook 2 as Blackberry is set in refining its OS 7 nowadays.

Blackberry Porsche Design P9981

If the smartphone had existed in 1987, it would have looked like this Robocop- inspired re imagining of the Blackberry Bold 9900.
Packing a 1.2 Ghz processor , HD video and Blackberry OS 7, the P9981′s  sharp, angular form and blocky keypad lettering take us back to a time when curves weren’t king. It’s the phone Dick Jones would have used to steer ED-209 towards a Robo dust-up – once he had the right app,

Research in Motion, regardless of how you may view its recent history or its long-term future, still has a stronghold on the corporate world. Its lineup of BlackBerry smartphones are known for great battery life, comfortable keyboards with intuitive shortcuts, top-notch native email and Enterprise clients and -- most important to businesses -- unrivaled security features. Sure, its influence is waning as competitors have caught up in some areas (and surpassed it in others), but there are plenty of companies that have clung to their CrackBerries and held on tight.

RIM's been hard at work trying to regain lost momentum by introducing a series of new devices featuring its latest OS, BlackBerry 7, and the BlackBerry Bold 9900 / 9930 series has been the star of the show so far. The problem is, it's not flashy enough. How is a C-level exec supposed to walk proudly on the golf course with a $300 (subsidized) phone? Talk about embarrassing. Have no fear, poor corporate top dog, luxury brand Porsche Design has come up with a solution: the $2,300 BlackBerry P'9981, a Vertu-ized version of that lesser handset you wouldn't be caught dead using.
