Android 5.0 Jelly Bean Arrives In Q2

Some companies such as Motorola are still finalizing their plans for pushing out Android 4.0 to some of their selected devices and one of the criticisms that had been laid out against the company was while they were still working on Android 4.0, Android 5.0 would be announced.

Although it is not an official announcement of Android 5.0 which is also known as Jelly Bean, there are some suggestions coming through the supply chains which would indicate that the next version of Android will launch in the second quarter of this year. Based upon these rumors, we’ve also received some indications as to what customers can expect in the next operating system and these include further optimizations for the Android tablets. Additionally, Chrome which is the search engines own browser will be also be integrated as part of the OS.

Hardware vendors that are considering Android but want flexibility will also be able to set up their devices with either standalone Jelly Bean or alternatively dual boot their devices with Android 5.0 and Windows 8. One thing to keep in mind is that these are just rumors at this time and though the Digitimes which is the source of the rumor has seen its share of successes, there have also been a few misses. However, all indications seem to be that Android 5.0 will arrive sooner rather then later so we should be hearing more on this front in the next couple of weeks.
