Now a days, Portable hard disk drives are useful for each and every PC user to take backup of their important files and documents, Sony has unveiled its new range of portable HDD ( Hard Disk Drive ) and portable SSD ( Solid State Drive ).

The Portable drives designed for high tranfer speed, and reliable. The Sony's new portable hard drives includes PSZ-SA25 named 256 GB of solid state drive, and two are PSZ-HA50 named 500 GB and PSZ-HA1T named 1 TB hard drive models.

Each models comes with a USB 3.0 and pair of FireWire 800 interfaces. From all of these models 256 GB SDD drive supports 400 MBps ( MegaByte per second ) of transfer speed, where both HDD supports 120 MBps transfer speed over USB 3.0 port.

Take an example, you have 40 GB of video files and need backup of files to portable SDD drive, it completely transfer files under 2-minutes which sounds impressive.

All models from sony comes with heavy silicon cover and protective case that will protect your files and important data from physical damage. However, it also integrated with shock resistance which protect from falls up to 7.5 feet for SDD and 6.5 feet for HDD models.

The 256 GB SSD Model cost you at $299.99, while both 500 GB and 1 TB HDD models cost you at $127.99 and $173.99.

SanDisk Corporation, a global leader has introduced an enhanced version of iNAND Extreme flash drive, it is optimized to increase storage performance, which is compatible with Intel's Atom Z3000 processors and is also known as 'Bay Trail' for tablets.

SanDisk second-generation of iNAND Extreme drive, to leading mobile device manufaturers for use in Android and Windows tablets for high performance Intel powered Atom Z3000 processors.

Main features iNAND Extreme have :-

  1. It supports eMMC 4.51 HS200 standard.
  2. Sequential maximum transfer speed: read at 150 MB/s and write at 45 MB/s.
  3. Randomly read at 4K and write at 800 IOPS.
  4. Storage capacity from 4 GB to 128 GB supported.

 SanDisk, Strategy analytic expecting more tablet shipment to reach 180 million units by the end of the year.
