Transition Will be First Flying car | Sale May Starts in 2015 | Review

Transition Flying Car

Massachusetts based firm Terrafugia has announced a flying car, named Transition which will go on sale to the public in 2015.

According to automakers, this flying car is a part sedan and part private jet with two passenger seats, four wheels and it is designed to driven both on the city roads and in the skies. The Transition will go on sale within two years.

"We do want to create a flying car that can be used by a much broader segment of the population that just the pilot communities today," Terrafugia CEO Carl Dietrich in a Reuters video report said.
Terrafugia's TF-X model will have a range of 500 miles with speed of 200 miles per hour and this will be small to fit it in a garage without need a runway to takeoff.

"These vehicles that need to basically be able to fly themselves need to know where every other aircraft is in the air space, they need to know where the weather fronts are that they need to avoid, they need to know restricted airspace pops up, so they need to be tied in to basically a data network," Carl Dietrich said.
According to Dietrich, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) recently has been developing that network and he is confident this system would be up and running till the TF-X is ready to take to the skies.

If this go to sale in 2015. Would you buy one?

QUADROCOPTER SAVOR ROBOT | SAVIOR AERIAL ROBOT WILL RESCUE PEOPLE AT SEA

QUADROCOPTER SAVOR ROBOT

Designers are currently developing a Quadrocopter concept robot designed for emergency missions at sea.

A Savior Aerial robot will be equipped with three life preservers that could be dropped down to drowning victims, and will feature GPS and heat-sensing cameras to detect the presence of victims in the darkness.

Besides the robot will operate by charging its batteries at a solar-powered charging station on a nearby ship.

There are several advantages to quadrocopters over comparably-scaled helicopters. First, quadrotors do not require mechanical linkages to vary the rotor blade pitch angle as they spin. Second, the use of four rotors allows each individual rotor to have a smaller diameter than the equivalent helicopter rotor, allowing them to possess less kinetic energy during flight.
